The U-shaped magnetic core transformer is a 15KV high-frequency transformer, and its size is approximately: 27×16×21mm (length×width×height, irregular size, measured at the most prominent part)

Note: The inner layer of the high voltage winding of this transformer is wound on a segmented skeleton, and the low voltage winding is on the outer layer. Please do not mistakenly think that the high voltage winding of this transformer is wound in the same way as the low voltage winding.

The transformer primary has two windings, one set of thick copper wires is the main winding, and one set of thin copper wires is the feedback winding. The secondary output is high voltage.
The two copper wires in the transformer, one thick and one thin, are the positive poles, which are respectively the tail of the main winding and the head of the feedback winding, and are connected to the positive pole of the power supply.

Precautions for product use:
1. After successful production, the transformer must be potted with epoxy resin or insulating wax before it can be used for a long time. Working without load in the air will cause the coil to break down and be damaged due to insufficient air insulation strength.
2. After the kit is made, the input voltage is 3.7V. That is, the voltage of a 18650 battery, if you need to increase the input voltage (maximum increase to 12V) , you need to increase the resistance of the feedback resistor (the default power of the kit is 120 ohms), otherwise the triode is easy to burn out. Increase the feedback resistance to about 150Ω~1.5KΩ, and its resistance should be adjusted from large to small. It should not be too small, otherwise it will burn the triode or transformer, and it should not be too large. If it is too large, it will affect the output effect or make the triode work in a non-switching state. And severe fever.

Another: The transformer is designed for a maximum output of 15KV, and the maximum output limit should not exceed 15KV, that is, an arc of 1.5 cm. A higher output voltage may damage the transformer. If you want to work reliably and continuously for a long time, it is recommended to use insulating wax or epoxy resin to seal it completely. It is forbidden !
Before the transformer is welded, the paint on the enameled wire head of the welding part needs to be scraped off gently with a blade before welding, please pay attention.
