The ESP32 (ESP32-D0WDQ6), located inside of the ESP-WROOM-32 module, is the latest addition to the family of IoT solutions developed by Espressif Systems. The ESP32 is a single 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth integrated SoC designed with TSMC ultra-low-power 40 nm technology. It is designed to achieve the best power and RF performance, showing robustness, versatility and reliability in a wide variety of applications and different power profiles.

The ESP32 integrates a rich set of peripherals such as capacitive touch sensors, Hall sensors, low-noise sense amplifiers, SD card interface, Ethernet, high-speed SPI, UART, I2S, and I2C. This ESP-WROOM-32 module includes some necessary components for the ESP32 to operate correctly such as an onboard antenna (~–80dBm @50ft) and 4MB of flash memory. The module makes it easy to develop products around the ESP32 SoC.
